Toyota has a weird habit of putting useless pockets in their cars. There is a switch blank in my center console meant for the power mirror switch on trucks with crank windows, but I've never seen a single truck with the switch there. Instead there's a 1x1 inch pocket that's useful enough to hold maybe two coins and a paperclip.

I use the same. When I changed out my needle bearing that’s what ECGS recommended. Hard to argue with a company that deals with diffs all day.

    We don't have clutch type posi's so that "write-up" doesn't even pertain to us w/ Toyota 8" & 8.4" rear diff's.
Seems pointless to post it on this forum but to each his own.

Damn, what happened? Stay up past your bedtime? I was simply linking to the article so people would know what the guy above me was talking about.

Also, this article is a general comparison between synthetic and conventional - hence why its titled "Why We Recommend Non-Synthetic Oil". Although it mentions LSD, it doenst specifically focus on that.

You posting was fine. That article is an excellent write up on synthetic vs dino and what swayed me to go to dino.

I didn’t mean for it to come across the way I see it may have. My verbiage could’ve been chosen better! My apologies.
I just don’t believe the majority of that article. I can’t see how it could be (admittingly in the article itself) better in a motor but not in a diff. So it sticks to the metal in an engine better than dino but doesn’t stick to metal in a diff better than dino? Not believing it, sorry.
I use Mobil 1 syn. in diffs. In the article it states that product is better than cheap dino diff fluid. The price difference doesn’t bother me.
Once again, sorry if I came off as harsh.
