    Great!

If I was you I would also negotiate with the dealership so they install the latest TSB in it before you leave the lot It really transforms the truck as many people have experienced.

I have a great family friend that is a car broker. He has the truck I want on hold about 2 hours from me. Going to the local dealer this morning to drive the shit out of an identical truck to make sure.

Will also make them do the updates.

If you had a manual, I hope you are content with the auto. Not going back and forth about which one is better. You can see what I own.

If I were you which I’m not, I would wait for the manual you are looking for if that’s something you enjoy. Not about which one is better or easier to find... It’s about long term satisfaction.

Don’t just buy a truck to get something. Make sure you think it through before signing the papers.

Drive it as much as possible, I drove my AT twice before purchasing and that wasn’t enough to find all the things I dislike about the AT. Don’t settle! If for just a moment you think that you would prefer the MT then that feeling will just keep repeating as time goes by!

    ^All of this!

Completely understand. My car before the truck was an automatic. And that was after an MT. I will always miss a MT but not enough to hate an AT. It’s tough but unfortunately the time is limited and I’m getting another good deal going through my family friend.

Why bag on you for that?
It’s not a bad look, and those that “bag” because it’s not functional...it’s functional in that it’s esthetically pleasing to you!
But,,,, I think it’s butt ugly :) lol just kidding

Pay close attention to the gear spacing between 4th and 5th with the AT on your test drive. When it needs to downshift from 5th to 4th on the highway or interstate it really screams as there is a much bigger gap between 4th-5th than 5th-6th. This is what bothers me the most about the AT.

I don’t think that the look of the skewp is ugly, I just have this thing about things performing an actual purpose. I like how the word Turbo looks on vehicles, but only if those vehicles actually have a turbo! It’s too bad the skewp wasn’t directing air through a top mount intercooler!

I get what you are saying, but these trucks aren’t going anywhere no matter what you are told. All dealers and friends will help you out if they really want the business. Unless you have no transportation at all and your family is stranded I would say take at least a couple of days to figure it all out. There are good deals to be had even if your friend has to wait for your business for a couple of days.

Edit: I found over 300 OR Manuals here https://www.cars.com/for-sale/searc...8880&trId=30029946&transTypeId=28112&zc=22601

    I personally agree with you:)
    It’s like sticking a 4x4 sticker on a prerunner :).
It would have been easy to make the scoop functional, sometimes you wonder!
But for those that just like the looks :) it’s there rig so go for it!!
