I'm thinking about putting a 2nd gen axle under my 1st gen - I know there are two lines going down to the 2nd gen axle and one going down to my existing brake setup. Would it be possible to install new hard lines on the 2nd gen axle and have the one brake line from the LSPV feed both wheels?

It might only be a difference in how the rear brakes are plumbed

Now that the Coffee has kicked in I can make sense of what your asking .

Yes the line from the LSPV that goes to your 1st gen rear brakes should work just fine just plumb your new axle in .

You most likely can steal the tee from your 1st gen axle
