Let's See Your Cats!!!

So, I step out of the house to go run to the store and this happens...









...I don’t have a cat.

 

Well at least he has a collar on, so you know he's somebody's cat and can call them if he seems lost. At our old house we had a cat that would come around every once in a while and hit us up for a snack. No collar, but looked okay so we figured he belonged to someone and was just double dipping. As the weather got colder we started to worry that maybe he was lost, so we put our own collar on him and instead of a tag we put a little waterproof pill bottle with a note in it. The note said "If this is your cat, please put a tag on him or we will assume he's a stray and then he's ours". A few days later he came back, but the collar now had a tag with a name - Steve - and his owner's phone number. We didn't call them, but felt better about the situation. We still gave him snacks.

 

The Terrible Two Nothing is Safe with them around Other Cats and all living things Stay away from the Yard and when they are inside I have learned to put everything away if I don't it will be on the floor So I have a computer Mouse holder because more then one has turned up "missing" but in all they are really good..... Trying to convince myself of that yet

 

This morning I woke up to 2 cats laying next to me. It really surprised me because the older boy cat does not like the kitten girl cat, but they set aside their differences in order to force me into an uncomfortable sleeping position.

 

She’s a neighbor’s cat, and her name is Riley. Extremely friendly. Her owners rescued her, and their motto is that you can get the cat off the street but you can’t take the street out of the cat. She tends to roam the hood from around 8 to 11 every evening. Last night was just my turn in her patrol rotation. Still, it was a big surprise to set my cup down before opening the back door and get a “hello” meowed at me.

She wouldn’t let me leave until I gave her some scritchings. She’s very bossy that way.

 

The Snuggle Bear.... This belongs to Her make no mistake it really does belong to her and if you touch it your fingers will pay the price and whatever else that happens to get in the way even the Other Cat steers clear of it I did not see it happen but seeing how the other cat (Her best friend) avoids it at all cost there must been a little chit chat about it between the two.

 

Adopted a new friend today. She is 1 1/2 years old. Her name is bonnie but were thinking about renaming her.

 

We're waiting to introduce her to our other 2 cats

Yeah so far they're doing pretty good. We were going to adopt a kitten but we felt she was a good choice for our 2 year old cat. They can play together while the senior cat gets left alone. Our 2 year old is always chasing the senior one.

 

Sounds like a good plan!!

 

Nova is doing well adjusting to her new home. She is a very friendly and cuddly little girl. She goes inside and out a little bit. Only thing I have a hard time with is her attacking our ankles in the morning.

 

So the cats are sniffing the new cat but still need time to get to know each other. Not as much hissing and growling as the first day so I say it's good progress.

 

I have more, but they aren’t as cuddly.

 

A few cousins have been posted previously, oh and so hasn't the cat in the exhaust.

 

Its steam- warm ground being ripped open on a really cold morning. But I swear we have a real one- looking for a nice shot of her. A sweet adopted one that is really small. Great friends with our adopted dog, too!
