I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess his truck caught on fire!

Probably not a joking matter to the owner/driver. I see a small trail of flame that leads me to believe a gas tank rupture of some sort. Left rear wheel missing.

A lot to happen in a confined space. I was in a '69 Nova drag car once when the drive shaft snapped. Even without a fire, that was a loud and religious experience.

So re torque your lug nuts every day? That's odd.

edit: for clarity is there some sort of problem tacomas have that the lug nuts get loose on their own?

Don't know how the fire started exactly but I do know that everyone that was in the truck is okay without any major injures.

There’s a video up on Facebook for Fox31. My wife pointed out to me the other day but couldn’t find another upload source to post here.

So, I've found that my lug nuts as well, especially on the rear tend to loosen easily. I find myself torquing them on any long trip. I was wondering if I needed new lug nuts.

It would be a good idea to replace both the nuts and studs.
