Depo tail light problem

No, they're long off warranty. And the problem is intermittent, so they work...and then they don't.

I wonder if a resistor could be added to draw more power if the LEDs just don't draw enough to overcome a less than ideal connection.

 

I had this problem with mine.

Good looking lights, just terrible performance.

Couldn't run the risk of not having properly working brake lights.

I'm almost 100% sure it's the wiring harness they came with.

 

Crap...I hate not knowing if they're working or not. I see that you have different lights now. Are you happy with them?

Those are the exact ones I bought on Amazon. Plug and play. Zero issues for over a year now.

 

I assume the Light-Tube is the turn signal?

 

No, that's a parking light as the 3 smaller LEDs on the side.

The larger center LED board is the turn signal.

 

So brake light and turn signal are the same lights.

I might try rewiring the running light/brake light and see. I have a buddy that's the bomb with electronics so I'll pick his brain before anything more drastic.

 

I'm tired of trying to find the problem. Last night I order oem style incandescent bulb tail lights. I want brake lights that I know are working.
