Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
Well since I've owned an FJ since 07. I'm 100% I know one when I see one.
Plus the dead giveaway.... what other modern vehicle from Toyota has 3 wipers and the same 3 vintage? I'll wait....

My bet is someone will come out with a bolt on centrifugal supercharger. The reliability would remain high installation would be easy as you wouldn't have to remove the intake manifold and boost control would be manageable and with low amount of boost. With how high compression these motors are it won't take much cfm to make good numbers add that with E85 you might have a fast little truck. Questions is how much will the trans and bottom end take.

like everyone said thats a FJ and a 4.0L motor. If you google it your find threads talking about it back in 2012 when that image was spreading....its one of the prototype S/C's that were being tested

we won't see any boost adding kits until someone comes up with a good ECU tuning solution.

Ressurecting an old thread. I’m looking to add a supercharger/ air intake To my 2016. I need better highway performance and want to better solve the shitty tranny as efficiently as possible...or trade it in if newer models have what I need. I drive a bunch in high elevation 6-8000 ft. Any help is appreciated. I’m a truck performance noob and don’t know shit.

So far this is the only possible forced induction I'm aware of, and it's still in R&D mode from what I've gathered.

Have you tried OVTune yet? It gave me a noticeable increase. I believe they're currently working on a twin turbo kit at the moment as well.

Only reason that stopped me with the 08 FJ was it was supposedly notorious for eating up serpentine belts every couple of oil changes to the point forum members were carrying spares on the trails and around town. Yeah, newp.
