I was wondering if anyone is running a c rated 285 70 17 or 285 75 16, I saw that bfg now makes the ko2 in this size and c rated. And I wanted to know what kind of mpg I should expect with a 3" lift on the front and a 2" aal in the rear on a dcsb 3rd gen
Btw excuse me if I did anything wrong this is my first post

I happen to be in the first 5000mi of 285/70r 17 KO2s with a Fox lift at about 2.75" of lift.
I had 265/75r16s before and I can say the C's ride 1000 times better.

I used a Hypertech Speedometer calibrator since I like my indications to be correct. I set it up and used 3 separate GPS to verify accuracy.
According to computer and hand calculated presently I'm averaging 19.75mpg over 4,500 miles.

my commute is 62 miles per day on the freeway. Morning speeds are 75ish and afternoon it's about 60ish. I try and use cruise control as much as possible.

Did your fuel efficiency improve with the C-rated 285/70/17 compared to the E-rated 265/75/16?

I have the C rated KO2s as well. I like them much better than the E's I had on my 03 4R. I have been getting around 17 mpg mostly driving around town. They weigh about 7 lbs less than the E rated and I think it can be felt. I wouldn't go back- just my 2 cents.

Hard to say accurately as I didn't ever verify speedo accuracy for 265/75. I think at worst the weight loss kept it the same, maybe got a little better. For the sake of disclosure, I did go with Ray10s too, so I lost about 8lbs per corner over the 265/75 16 on stock OR rims.

WTF BFG makes 285/75r16 KO2s in C rated now? I just bought my KO2s last October & all they had were Es. My last set of KOs were E also cause no one had the Ds anymore.

You're not going to see any improvement going from 32" tires to 33's. You will see a DECREASE in mileage, however.

I think he meant the 17" size in LR C. 16's come in LR E only.

I did have KO's in LR D in 285/75/16 a few years ago. I liked the ride better than LR E.

My question is comparison between the very heavy E-rated BFG 31’s to the “light” C-rated version of the 33”. I know in apples to apples the mileage will go down. Wasn’t sure if it was a wash with the different ratings.

Where are you seeing the 285/75r16 KO2s in C rated? I just looked at 3 places & still only E rated.
