    Made a loud sound before it restarted and then the screen turned white. It's stays on even when I turn the truck off. Going to see if my work's security department has some tools if I can disconnect the battery.

    Oh well, glad it's still under warranty.

    Mine has restart itself a couple times while I was driving, not quite as bad as your situation.

    A service manager once told me the Entune HU is a component with one of the highest failure rates in Toyota's. I've never been impressed with the system and wished a simple AM/FM w/ Bluetooth were available.

    Yeah mine has done that before and I searched the site to see if anyone else's died too but didn't see any. People usually had them replaced when they were rebooting often. Maybe that's the indication that it's going out...

    I've just had mine restart a few times within 5 minutes of turning the truck on. After 45 seconds or so, it comes back. But i will keep an eye out! Keep us posted on what you find. :popcorn:

    Didn't die but my GPS marker would just go in circles. I always ended up back where I started..lol..it actually did tho. Dealer replaced H/U and fine since.

    Mine only resets when I press the speed dial button for my fiance. Not sure if it's a sign or something:rofl:

    This is only covered in the first 25,000 miles correct? Or does the 50,000 mile warranty apply to this?

    Same here. Went to the dealership and they stated I have the newest update so since that did not help my reboot situation they are going to replace it with a new one. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    Zero problems with the top knob SR5 version, thought about swapping to the upgraded version but all the issues here convinced me otherwise.

    MINE TOO! I click the phone button, click it again to make the call. BAM. Shuts off.

    Then I have to grab my phone and put it on speaker

    Did they have to replicate the problem or was it a no questions asked deal?

    I'd have to double check but my 2017 only has 12k miles, but I bought it September 2016.

    That being said after I left the truck off for about a half hour I noticed the screen went back to black and it booted up just fine when I turned it back on. So it works again for now but definitely going to have them replace it.

    This would be covered on the 3 year/36k standard warranty for most folks. Many got extended warranties though. If mine dies, im ripping that garbage out and putting in something that can natively play flacs.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::fistbump::fistbump::fistbump:

    The quality difference between a flac/lossless and any compressed audio is just immense! CD's were kind of awesome back in the day but nowadays, HU's need to play flac off USB or another wired interface. Just my opinion here, my ears are sensitive and I can totally hear the difference.

    Of course. I remember back in the day ripping to flac vs mp3 and it was huge. However my ears are bad now from years of playing my music too loud and my service in the army. Streaming through pandora and HD radio suits my needs now :(
