I know Ben and work with him regularly which is often why he will recommend a 2.5 coilovers in the front and a less expensive Bilstein in the rear.

If you watch his videos he says the same thing. Remote reservoir shocks allow for greatier oil capacity that seperates the nitrogen and ultimately provides enhanced cooling.

I took your language of 'cooling' to mean heat disappation... not the ability to avoid heating up.

I guess the other argument is anecdotal and will depend if the user has removed the sway bar.

So now that you've been driving on the Falcon's for a month, what are your impressions? Have you taken it off road and if so what kind of terrain? Washboard, etc.? Any regrets you didn't with something else?

33” is relative to width. 255/80 r17 and 255/85 r16 fit ALOT easier with little lift than 285 width in 33”

Yah...but, those nitrogen bubbles don’t really occur in typical “trail-riding”, they occur when you are doing fast bumpy shit, like washboard roads at 50+mph.

Which is why a OME lift is a GREAT option for the average camper joe or trail riding Charlie. If you race trophy trucks you need resevoirs

Comparing these for the cost, seems like they’re a much better value than the TRD Pro setup where dealers charge 3k for

That was my thought, exactly. I just have to save up so that when my shocks die I can make the switch over.

Isn't this a better option than these Falcons?

I ended up contacting Fox about all of these shocks and they said they will fit on stock suspension components.... No need for any blocks/UCAs/LCAs or anything as long as you do not get the extended travel versions. So couldn't you just get these?

I recently installed my falcon shocks and used the top notch on the front and added a 1” rear block on the rear. I bought some trd pro wheels 17 and i just was wondering if anyone knows whats the biggest tire i can used. I was wondering if i can used 275/70 R17 tires

How your first option is in this price range. The second two are nowhere close.

Joe's Jeep Jungle sells a ton of these. Almost ever newly lifted jeep I see are running these or Kings... I've heard nothing but good things about them. I recently transitioned from a Jeep to a Taco. I like it, but miss the Jeep...
Falcons are a better quality shock then the Fox. My local Toyota dealer sells/installs the Fox setup. After a yr of life in the salt belt, the finish on them starts to pit.

Can one lift a truck with out new leafs, spacers or blocks? Sure the front coilovers can lift the front, but I am not sure that new rear shocks on their own can lift a truck.

Did anyone install these with the TRD Off Road springs or just the normal stock Taco springs?

I’m with you brother. Came from a JKU to my Tacoma. It took me a long time and a lot more money than my Jeep to get it dialed in right. Definitely more complicated. PM if I can help the confusion any.
