Had to slam on my brakes yesterday for the first time. I mean really really stomp it.

Truck did great, stopped to avoid the idiot that pulled right out in front of me.

But, it almost felt like the truck wanted to die after coming to such an abrupt stop.

This normal?

Right on! I figured so. It didn't die, but it certainly felt like it might!

Also, pretty sure my ABS kicked in. Made some funny noises

Edit: I thought you said 'definitely normal'

 

ABS sounds like your truck is disintegrating when it works properly. Personally, I like "old school" where you could put a vehicle into a controlled skid. But I'm old, so.....

 

Thinkin about goin live Saturday around 3:30 for opening day of dove season, just killing stuff with loud noise... That's a thing right?

 

Yes, like when I turn on my radio after my grandkids have been in my truck.

Damn. Somewhere along the way, I turned into my dad....

 

It happens, most my childhood my dad wore a brace on his left arm for tennis elbow and...

 

Dad's been gone for 17-1/2 years, but I miss him more every day. Every time I see something in me that reminds me of him, it brings a smile to my face....and sometimes a tear.

 

I'm heading home tomorrow morning. I went out on site in Shreveport, LA

 

Normal, next time push in the clutch.
