I was a 90’s teenager and spent a ton of time playing Goldeneye on N64, but I don’t think I’d ever actually seen a Bond movie until Daniel Craig took over.

My brother gave me all 24 movies BluRay for Christmas. I’m pretty sure he used the digital download and regifted the BD disks, but it’s the thought that counts.

Anyway, I finally finished all 24 movies and I’ve developed a couple opinions.

    1) The Best Bond?

Timothy Dalton doesn’t get nearly enough credit as Bond. The Dalton movies were darker, the villains more realistic, and there were more political themes than earlier movies.

License to Kill is probably my favorite in the series.

    2) Best Villain

    Max Zorrin (Christopher Walken)

Christopher Walken is great and Zorrins twisted scheme is pretty brilliant.

    Curious what others think.

First off, the Blu-ray versions are great. The studios spent a lot of time and effort scanning top quality film to produce them. Most are in excellent condition. Compared to seeing them on VHS like many of us here, it is unbelievable how good they actually are film wise.

I got the set for Christmas in 2015. Had them all watched by New Years! My favorite Bond is of course Sean Connery, but I think my favorite movie is Octopussy, because it's the first one I remember seeing in the theater. Connery at his best is probably Thunderball, which was later remade by Connery in Never Say Never Again when he was well past his prime.

It's funny you mention Walken as being one of the better villians. I agree. It's just a shame that is probably the worst film of the bunch. Just terrible for me to try to watch.

I also have a hard time watching You Only Live Twice. Connery disguised as Japanese just wasn't convincing, no matter how much he stooped.

I don't think the set has Never Say Never Again because of licensing rights, so you may want to buy that one to add to it. I also had to add Spectre to mine since it was not released to Blu-ray until after Christmas.

I really liked Roger Moore as Bond.

I haven't seen all the Bond movies, but to me, there is only one James Bond, and his name is Sean Connery. I also quite like Daniel Craig.

Timothy Dalton was the best representation of Ian Fleming's James Bond from the book series.
