You have a time frame in mind? Place of "well I'd rather fucking camp (insert place choice)"? Do you have a shotgun, hunting license and the desire to chase little crest headed birds around the desert in the pursuit of eating chickens that aren't chickens but are smaller, tastier versions of chickens???? Ah, fuck it, just tell me when and where. I'll show up with beer and ready to smoke some pipe!

No shotgun anymore sold it. But I can buy another. Yes I have a hunting license. Yes I like eating little things I kill that taste like chicken that arent. And soon I would like to go. But I'm packed with weddings and moving and such for the next 2 months atleast. So I will have to see

You just let me know brother. Next two weekends is dove season, after that is prepping/scouting for deer, also shooting squirrels if I have time, rifle deer is Nov 9-15 (hopefully Nov 9-9, haha). After that is chasing quail around the desert and prepping for bow season. Archery deer and javelina is every weekend in January. After that back to quail, followed by rifle javelina in march or April. That's my loose weekend plans for the next several months, but my "plans" seem to get looser when you're around. Haha. You could always borrow Niki's shotgun for the weekend if you want. She wouldn't mind.

Although now that I think about it. I am getting off pretty easy. No weddings in 17 (took the year off) I think only one so far this year. One this weekend I dont really want to attend. Then one I'm super excited for in oct

I am such a natural morning person that nights just kick my ass... plus checking out from the world for 4 days at a time really blows.

Agreed. I don't think we were meant to be nocturnal creatures. I do know people who have worked graveyard shift their whole careers by choice (they didn't look too well).

Yeah I could see not looking the best after that!
I have no problem going to normal sleep hours. I usually power thru the day on my last day then pass out around midnight. Then when coming back to work I try and nap from 7 to 9 ish then on my lunch break

Same my first night back I HAVE to get a nap on lunch even if it's 15 minutes....

I hate having time before work.... to me it' like I wanna start something but can't because I have to stop at an exact time.... I miss getting up, hitting the shower and hopping in the car. Even when I used to work 12 hour days 6 days a week I felt like I had a better work life balance than I do now working 3/4 nights a week because I spend a day on each end flopping back and now while I'm working I don't see the world...

It also sucks missing out on dinner with important ones etc... and doing the 12.5 hour shifts I completely check out for a few days. A text or two in a 24 hour span with boot girl etc. I really appreciate my job, just gotta keep an eye open for day shift opportunities. I would go back to 6 DAYS a week in a heartbeat...

The night differential is 16% so that's nice...

If you're still working at the same place I did for like 2 seconds, I remember I got drug tested and given the whole "zero tolerance" speech...
Then I show up to work the first day, and when I go out to my truck for lunch there's a guy parked next to me with the windows cracked hitting a pipe.

I don't even recall the blends I used to smoke as this was over 10 years ago now, but what I started doing was rolling cigarettes with pipe tobacco so I didn't have to bring my pipe everywhere...

I had one that I really liked and bought in bulk but... shit, I'm at a total loss.:notsure: Sorry. Pipe tobacco blends are usually very mild though, which is nice.

Yep same place. And yeah everyone smokes or does whatever. I'm guessing it's more to cover their ads when someone gets hurt.

Well see, first you gotta have a few kids (this is the part you suck at), and then you have to convince your wife that's it's cheaper to fish and hunt as much food as possible than to buy it in the store. Next thing you know she will be kicking you out the door every weekend to "go get us some food". Haha
