Just bought 2017 Tacoma TRD, 4x4, access cab, and installed LT265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar E from Tire Rack. So far no rubbing, however, haven't had it off road yet??

OP, the question you asked has kind of become a running catch line around here because this thread always turns into a shit storm.

There is no real answer because there are so many variables.

Many will say 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 in your case since the Pro wheels are 16". I fit 275/70/17 on my stock off road and only had a tad of rubbing on the inner fender plastic that I was able to fix easily with a heat gun. Tire size alone is only one part of the equation.

Tire model also matters as for example, a 285/70/17 BFG KO2 measures 32.7" in diameter, yet a Cooper STT Pro in the same exact size measures 33.0" in diameter.
