Crap I just bought a 40" S8 yesterday from one of your dealers. How will I know once I get it if it is the updated version?

 

We typically start the transition a couple of months before making an announcement. With that said, yours is probably the latest and greatest from Baja Designs. There isn't a cosmetic difference, only the circuit board. If it's opened up we can determine version based on the model number and build date.

I need some help with lighting on a dual sport I just picked up. I have a Suzuki DR 650 and previous owner has some cheap pods one spot one flood I'd like to upgrade them and was thinking about 2-squadron pros 1- driving and 1-spot I'm not going to be off-roading 100mph but do want some distance and coverage up close. The headlight is still stock as well and I didn't see any kits on your site for DRs

Will you make a suggestion on headlight and pod combinations

 

Whats the exact year and model?
We don't make any direct replacement headlights for the DR, but have some great universal options.

Depending on the stator output you might be able to run two Squadron Pros with the factory headlight. Once I have the exact year and model I'll double check the output and let you know what you can run. You might have to run the Squadron Sport, Pair if the Pros are too much power.

Applicable lights can have their circuit boards updated.

Unfortunately the older OnX (4 LED per 8") can't be upgraded without requiring a new housing and completely new internals (new light).

 

Their stuff is too fancy (aka expensive) for me :/
