    C7A4AFFC-40F0-4BCC-BDA2-5F5076A1BDC8.jpg Hey everyone,
I’ve posted a bit already, but figured I should introduce myself here! I’m the proud owner of a 2018 TRD Sport, Access Cab/Manual Transmission, bought brand new and now at 2500 miles.

I had managed to make it though 31 years of life 100% debt free, and the only non-motorcycle vehicle I had ever owned was my trusty 1991 22RE Toyota pickup. I racked up 150k on that truck and put it through just about every type of use and abuse possible. This past summer I finally decided I needed some creature comforts, driving an old truck regular cab truck with no radio, air conditioning and manual windows was losing its charm. So I accrued some debt, got a brand new 3rd gen Tacoma, and can only one it’s even 1/10th as reliable as my old 22RE! It certainly feels like a spaceship with the smooth handling and TSS features.

Home for me is beautiful Bozeman, Montana; but I’m relocating to Southern California for the fall/winter to build out my truck and live out of it for the next few years. I’m looking at more of an overland style build, I definitely don’t want to be limited with where I can go, but am also not going to be doing any serious rock crawling. So far my planned mods are:
    -New tires(KO2s or Fallen Wildpeaks)
-2” OME lift and Dakar Springs
-ARE topper (arriving next week :D)
    -RCI skids
    -BAMF bolt on sliders
-currently torn between a dual battery setup or a single group 31
    -ARB twin compressor

And then down the line eventually a front plate bumper and winch, and an ARB rear locker. Also going to build out the topper with shelving and a bed platform, trying to keep it as stealthy and avoid a RTT or anything that would draw too much attention to the truck.

This community has already been such an amazing resource of information and I’m looking forward to learning and contributing more as my build progresses. Happy to be here!
    -Chad

Thanks! I really went through hell deciding, ideally I would have wanted an SR to save money with all the mods I’m planning. And the stock features on the TRD OR are more appealing, but AC MT was non negotiable for me, so here I am with the Sport! Loving it so far, and excited to make it adventure ready.
