Interesting thread going on about this right now.

I think they're full of shit.

Said they are talking to investors last week, filed for bankruptcy two days ago, only give an update today. Given they've done this before, I'd be pretty comfortable betting this was a calculated move.

Wonder what happened to the hundreds of thousands of customer deposits they're sitting on....

Well, it's bullshit to blame the customers whose money you took. Behind on orders? Stop taking them until the existing ones were filled

    They made good stuff.
I have a front bumper and IFS skid.
I met them at Moab and they were very nice people. They were better at customer service than any other vendors on here.

They must've made a series of bad decisions, mistakes, or had some kind of awful luck. I can't really see any other way to struggle, much less fail when all your products are 100% paid for upfront.

Also, to my knowledge, you don't lose your home or even your cars with a chapter 7 bankruptcy so that part really doesn't make sense.

Whatever happened, it's a shame. It really sucks for people who had paid them significant amounts of money and are now SOL. I don't really understand why all the vendors require 100% upfront payment for things with months long lead times. I've paid upfront myself and have been very fortunate not to have been burned.

Without kicking my own ass off here and a couple other sites, I think it’s important to remember that sometimes, supporting local talent can be its weight in gold.

For instance, on my last build, I could have dropped 7500.00 at DynaTrac for a front ProRoc60, or pretty much any other axle manufacturer. I chose custom, to certain spec, from a local shop in Denver that does kick ass work.

I now have an axle that I have yet to see anywhere else.....for less.

    I didn't know they've done it before..

But blaming the customers for this pretty much sums it up in my opinion that they are douchebags. This didn't happen overnight, you knew it was coming and kept taking people's money knowing they were likely not going to get a product.

Then you stop responding to people and don't keep customers in the loop who may have multiple months worth of income in your hands. You dug the hole, you have the responsibility to keep people in the loop if you dont want conspiracy theories happening.

IMO their front bumper was by far the sexiest one for 2nd gens. Too bad they fucked up in business and ethics class.

Does suck for all the people out a bunch of money.

Still think this is just how they do 'business' though. Too many things adding up to show this is their MO. Completed a credit counseling class (a bankruptcy prereq) before they even made the first social media post?

The thread is open and no reason to not talk about it. Just don’t post personal info about the company, and keep it civil.

I’m planning an SAS in the near future. I was wondering who built your axle.

Looks like your typical experienced financial criminals. They made off with probably hundreds of thousands of dollars and victims will see nothing. The "justice" department will give them $5k fines and two years probation.

Hopefully someone arranges a little street justice. :spy: did someone say group buy.

Well I got some good news and some bad news.

Josh at Crawlertech built it. I had a Solid Industries center section laying around for years. So I had Josh tube it, weld on my Solid Industries C’s to Ford D60 spec 86-91’, rotate C’s 4.5*, etc.

    So that was good news.

Bad news is I beleive Crawlertech is closing it’s doors if he hasn’t done so already.

    Call him Monday

That’s what he said on our club FB feed. Josh and Lisa had a long run.

Brucker Brothers...that’s not a good recommendation......

It’s a great one. Somehow I forget about Aaron and for the love of all that is holy, don’t know why.

    Holy crap!

There's some pretty damning stuff in there...
Not sure how anyone could spin this as less than outright shitty and fraudulent.

I did notice that one very pompous member who was berating people who were talking negatively just a couple of days ago has changed his tune and now sounds identical to the people he was just talking shit to. I wonder if he's apologized to all of them?

I appreciate it. Hopefully within the next year my Taco won’t be my DD anymore and I can start dumping more $$ into it. My goal is not extreme. I want to SAS 3 link the front and probably not go any bigger than 37s. I’ve only done a little bit of research (mostly drooling over other people’s builds) but it seems that a Dana 44 is a pretty popular option.
