    Just wanted to introduce myself, bigbear1612 I live in Big Bear City CA at 7,000 ft elevation.
    I just bought a 2018 Tacoma TRD 4x4. I also bought an 18ft ultra lite travel trailer. I'm hoping the truck will pull the trailer really nice. The trailer only weighs 4400 lbs wet so it should not have any problems. I am thinking about installing an external transmission oil cooler and a temp gauge. The dealer says the truck should pull 6500 lbs as is. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone would have. I am looking forward to being a part of this community.

    just checked under the hood and there is a transmission oil cooler and a engine oil cooler. I have the tow package but it did not list the transmission oil cooler. Wrote down the part and checked with Toyota and it's a transmission oil cooler. Kind of small though.

    Thanks, I just bought a new Tacoma and an 18' ultra lite travel trailer 3350 lbs dry 4400 wet. I think the TC should have no problem towing it.

    It should do fine, just keep a eye on it if you get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for long periods of time in hot weather 90 degrees or above.
