Spaced bumps and shock relocate?

 

Finally installed my lift kit this weekend. Went with front: Nitrochargers w/ OME 884 coils and / rear: Deaver U402 Filthy Stage 1 w/ Nitrochargers. I forgot to measure first but it was supposed to be +2" front and +1.5" rear. And the new ride beats the snot out of the stock suspension, I LOVE it!

So credit where credit is due, @0uTkAsT is the one that figured it out.

-Basically you just undo the snap ring that holds the pin in to secure the base plate.
-Swap out the HF pad with the pro eagle pad, which can accept the extensions.
-Reuse the HF pin to secure the pad. Its a little undersize so there is some play in the head.
-To take up the slack, go to Lowes and get yourself a 1 inch washer from the loose hardware bins. I found it had the exact thickness needed to make it rock solid. I believe the washer part code is 10643. Should be a 1in ID, 2.5in OD, 3/16 thickness washer
-Sandwich the washer between the pad and the jack assembly. Insert the pin back in. Mine was misaligned just a hair ~1/64 of an inch after the new washer. a love tap with a hammer got it through.
-Reapply snap ring
-Celebrate with a beer

 

Freaking genius. Do you have any idea if it will work on the harbor freight 3 ton steel jack?

 

No clue. I only have the 1.5 ton race model. I don't see why it wouldn't. May not use the same slack washer, but conceptually should be the same.

Well it would be less preload on the coils, so my initial answer is yes. Would be a good question for the 'suspension' section!

 

Trey which bumps are those? I have super bumps with the all pro flip kit. I’m going to upgrade the rear springs hopefully before the end of the year and was thinking about changeing them up

 

They are the bump stops for 99+ GM 1500s. ~$30 for the set. Just drill a hole in the strike pad on the frame and you have a much cheaper (and more widely available) bump stop solution

It is probably 99-06 and not 99+

I have 1/2” of washers in there for spacers right now, but will end up taking up 1 of them out. I used washers from old u bolts as spacers.

 

New blower motor resistor and pig tail. Nice to have working AC again
