new member. Great forum. Just purchased a 2018 SR DC, 4 banger. I couldn’t pass up the 1K factory rebate and the 1K military rebate.
This is my 3rd Toyota pickup. 1 was a Tundra, way too big for my needs. My 2013 Tundra, 2015 Tacoma, and my current 2018 Tacoma are, in my opinion, the best driving Trucks on the market. Better than most SUVs and sedans for that matter.
I sold Toyotas and Hondas in the late 1980’s, Toyota pickups were selling hot back then. We sold them well under invoice. I had always believed that Toyota wanted to flood the market as best they could because they knew they had a quality product and America would catch on. I guess it worked, No more Ranger, Dakota, Chevy Luv, or Colorado. You can argue that American auto makers only wanted to concentrate on the very lucrative full size market, but if they could have held decent market share in the midsize sector, they would still be making them.
The Toyota pickup has always been superior.
So far I’ve added a hitch plus wiring, fog lights, and a tonneau cover. Looking for an OEM entune plus with nav.
Yes, I cheaped out, but I can add options at a cost less that of an SR5.
The 4 banger will last forever.
