Just installed stereo and tapped into the camera feed on my 2009 with mirror backup camera. Resolution is naturally not so good on the larger screen. Am i able to replace it with after market and tie into the harness in the tail gate without having to run line from handle to head unit? Do the cameras from the 2010(i think it was 2010 when they went to indash?) swap out without any modification?

I replaced the backup camera when I put a new stereo head unit into my 2015. It requires a new harness, but it's pretty easy to install. This one uses 12v so run my amp-remote off a relay which I also use to power the backup camera for an anytime-camera.
