Is everyone in NoVA going nuts about the hurricane heading for NC like they are down here? It's been a stream of people pulling out their boats for the last couple of days. There was a line at the gas station yesterday, which I've never seen before.

 

Were going to get some rain on Saturday. That's all I've heard.

I'm more concerned with my grandmother in NC. Working with my family to make sure she is squared away.

 

It seems pretty normal up here. Definitely more concerned for friends and family in NC. The forecast is even showing roanoke getting a fuck ton of rain

Yeah. I'm not expecting more than some rain and wind. It would have to change course a lot to come up this way. With the way people are preparing, you'd think it's heading straight for us.

Yeah, if you are in an area prone to flooding, you are going to flood. If you are in an area prone to power outages, good chance you will lose power. We just will not have the wind they get down there.

 

Yeah people freak out quite a bit...in NC so used to hurricanes it's nothing....but for snow storms or chance of snow....it's quite the opposite.

I call my grandmother and offer to come pick her up...she got mad and said she can handle it and hug up on me...

 

Knowing you now, I’m not surprised your grandmother did that haha fingers crossed she stays safe.

Yeah old town Alexandria got messed up from the weekend...the hurricane will only be worse. I talked to a friend who’s a cop in Roanoke and they are getting ready, said it’s gonna be a shitty week

 

When she was up there during labor day. She kept hitting everyone with her cane. Except the baby. She was in love with the baby . But to hell with everyone else

 

There must be a setting somewhere... Cause I do. (But they usually end up in my junk folder)

Idk. I’d rather be prepared. I know I’m going to lose power and if it gets pretty windy there’s a good chance a tree or big branches will fall on our house.

 

Home depot has signs asking if your prepared and jacking up prices on generators, batteries, first aid, & h2o

Ive got the generator and fuel already, canned food, mres, a forest of wood for fire, h2o filter, and about 300k gallons in the pin. Im ready.
