Latest EURO has it bouncing down the SC coast now instead of stalling out off NC/VA.

Please be safe out there everyone, and special thanks to the first responders who will be leaving their homes and/or familes to protect the public.

None taken...because I was liking it staying north as previously thought. I imagine it’ll be doing a lot of shifting.

Ouch. I'm sure it'll change 10 more times before it actually makes landfall though.

That's what I've seen too. Hitting the coast on the SC/NC line and shooting west into SC. This windy.com website is pretty nifty. The difference in the ECMWF and GFS is crazy.

I lived there all my life...through Hugo, Floyd, Gaston, Matthew and Irma and ever since Hugo the media over reacts. Yes, there will be flooding bc like you said, 1" of rain at high tide and the peninsula floods. Just saying Lane reversal, mandatory evac and the everything shutting down is overkill.

It may indeed shift south and some models are indicating that but it won't be as bad as they say. No hugo or prolly even Matthew w out a 75 mile shift to the South. 50 knot winds extend out only 60 miles, as of now. Meaning a Wilmington landfall and CHS doesn't come close to seeing hurricane force winds. If it shifts, watch out.
