wanting to upgrade suspension on my 2017 Trd Sport... the only off roading I do is for predator hunting, some deer hunting, fishing and camping, the rest of the time the taco is sitting under the carport chilling. I would like to get it closer to level but... so these suggestions may be a little overkill but that’s all I will ever need the truck to do as I hope to have it for years and years to come.

    Icon stage one

Fox 2.5 with fox 2.0 in the rears.

What would you expect to pay for those set ups with install and alignment?

I’m leaning towards fox and plan to crank whichever Coil-Over I get to about 1.5” and leave a little factory rake.

Is around $2000 to much for those setups installed and aligned-

No plans for UCA’s at this time

Icon would be my last choice.

Go with Fox. Have an install party and meet some locals!

Canadian Tx.... I’m in the middle of nowhere. I would absolutely love to do the work myself but I don’t have any of the materials and barely can tie my shoes much less fix a suspension.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
If that's all that you're doing...why not Bilstein 5100s in each corner?

That would be more than enough for what you do... OME or bilstiens 6112s w 5100/5160 rears would be good to..
    But the foxes are better...

I would think 3-4 hours plus aliment is what a good shop would charge....
Some shops will charge 6-8 hours which is a lot....
If you don't get reservoirs they can change them out in the same time as regular shocks but will want to charge more...

you absolutely don't need Fox/ADS/King or whatever racing shocks to go down to a deer lease - 5100s will work fine and be simple and reliable.

    None yet!
Have the same trim as Little bear (TRD sport 2017) and found the rear to be bouncing on road bumps. If you ever come to Montreal you will find a great deal of those! Promised! So, I was wondering if changing the rear shocks only would do the work as these are relatively easy to change and that the front suspension seems to do just great. Please let me know what you think as that would save money and significant amount of work. I open a thread on that hoping to get feedback from experienced users who did but did not received any response yet.

    Thx!

    Lots of sail boat fuel
I'd you have the money and don't mind spending it on Fox's, it's a nice route to go. But as most members on here who either have or have gone into the woods with drivers on OME or Billies will tell you they'd be more than fine.

I wouldn't be too worriead about doing your own work either. Once the wheels are off it's about 7 nuts on each side. $300 in a jack and jack stands that you'll own is sometimes better than paying a shop rate. But it's all in what you're comfortable doing.

Side note. I vote fox. But I'm Bais and have no science backing. HahaIMG_20180422_124937.jpg

Dream with me... Bilstein 5100’s with ome 885 and next up cbi t3 aluminum with the lightest and probably cheapest decent winch that I can find and call my truck finished

I wonder if a leaf pack and shocks would help or possibly just better shocks... I know they would both work to solve your bounce but not sure if just shocks would. Probably would help a lot though
