    I need a 12v power source close to the driver hand side of the truck. Any suggestions? Could I use the fuse box?

    Tell us what you need the power for.

    And when do you need the +12V: all the time, when the key is in the accessory position, or when the key is in the "on" position (i.e. the engine is running)?

    what for?

    There are hundreds of wires down there with 12v, but depending on what you're wanting to use it for, they may not work for you.

    I'm installing an electric exhaust cut out on it. That's the reason for the 12v power supply. Preferably having power all the time.

    How much current or amperage are we talking? I’d honestly just run a relay or run straight from the battery for that kind of thing.

    Do you need it to be constant lower, switched on with ACC, what?

    Yeah hopefully NOT a Tacoma. I'm sorry but our v6s sound absolutely awful loud. Not to mention they don't breath enough to warrant straight pipes so you lose a significant amount of low-end power-the power you use most. I can see nothing beyond the idea you're doing it for attention...I guess.

    Do the TRD models have a slightly different exhaust than regular models?
    I think the TRD exhaust sounds very nice stock with the v6

    Can you say “burnt valves” 10 times really fast? There’s a certain amount of back pressure necessary for the emissions system to calibrate the air/fuel mixture correctly. My dumb friend did this to his BMW and messed up his exhast valves. The way our engines work, I can only imagine it may be worse for them. Also, your dash is going to light up and be all pretty, too!

    I'm not going to traditionally straight pipe it. I'm keeping the cats and muffler. Let's assume that this diagram is accurate to our Tacomas. The red box is where the cut out exhaust system will be located. I'll will not be removing the muffler or cats.

    Also I'm not sure which would be better: a relay or getting a fuse tap. I'm not an electrician. So I wouldn't know the amperage that I'd need other then the 12v that I need to control the Electric Cut Out system.

    I'm not looking for horsepower here folks. Just a little bit of rumble.

    BTW, from the picture you posted... It has a 12V plug. Looks like a very high quality kit.
