    Hi guys,
I bought my first new vehicle a couple of months ago, a 2018 TRD OR DCLB in Cement. I freaking love this truck and I've really been enjoying all the mod builds on TW.

I haven't done a ton to it yet but I have added a few small things. Today I finished up my amber fog light pods and hidden LED bar installs. The installation was fairly painless and the option OEM switch fits great.

I also added some metal radio knobs that I bought from @Tacowiede. He shipped them out super fast and they fit great.

I still have a huge (and growing) list of things I'd like to do to the truck. I totaled it all up the other day and it came out to a nauseating amount of money. The biggest priority for me is a canopy on the back to make it easier to take the dogs on trips. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a dealer in the Portland area?

Of course I also want to do suspension, rock sliders, a dual battery, rooftop tent etc but I prefer to stay housed and married. Any suggestions for other mods to add first?

Huh, do people really steal tailgates? Seems like it would be a pain to get off.

Pretty easy to take off. A quick search of youtube will show tailgates being stolen in about 15 seconds. Takes longer for the guy to park and get out of the truck.

There's a thread on it and though I've never had one plucked, the mod is so simple and cheap it's a no-brainer. I've removed mine enough times to realize how easy the theft would otherwise be. If you plan on towing and off-roading(whether at the same time or not), be sure to check out the plug relocation mod thats puts the tow plug up out of the way so it doesn't get nailed by a rock. Another more instantly gratifying mod is Mesodjm's led dome and map light swaps for 2nd and 3rd gens and before winter sets in you'll probably want some Husky or Weathertech floor mats. Down the road when you start adding more electronic gear you'll likely be looking at some custom switch panels so it's a good idea to research what's available for different locations. Another must read is tacozord's thread on putting together an rtmr(auxiliary fuse/relay box). That will inevitably lead you to the "show off your aux fuse box" thread which is packed with great ideas. Along with all the threads on suspension mods there are also numerous one's discussing every other aspect of overlanding. If you want to save your marriage just bite the bullet and hand the wallet over to swimbo and allow her to put you on an allowance. Alternatively, you can start up a black ops account to hide a significant portion of your expenditures.
