Both my parents went to Washington State, so any time we see the Dawgs get crushed, its a win in our eyes.

Thank you all for the info! Another factor for my house hunting is that I'm going to be working off hours (noon to 8:30) so traffic really shouldn't ever be an issue for me.

Where are the "best" schools considered to be??

Alpine serves the Saratoga area and as a whole are pretty good, but you'll get school by school differences. Canyons District and Davis are pretty good too. Personally I'm not a fan of the Jordan District, but that said I just bought a new house in Daybreak which is in that district.

And you should be. Our defense is stout as usual, but damn does the offense still have issues. Our defense should keep us in the game. This one will be up to the offense.

I would agree with this, my kids are in Jordan school district. It could be better, but there are definitely worse.

It's funny out here, across the state we have the lowest funding per student but we're ranked #3 nationwide in education.

I grew up in Davis school district, my kids are in Canyons schools, and I know teachers in Jordan district. So far I haven't seen anything to be worried about in any of the districts around here. For the little ones it mostly comes down to the individual teachers at the elementary schools.

    For Sale:

BAMF bed/RTT rack. Fits 3rd Gen/'16+ short bed. Bought as bare steel. I did coat with self-etching primer and a black matte hi-temp paint. (It is NOT powder coated.) There are a few small scratches to this paint from brackets that I had mounted. Photo is the exact style of my rack. Link is to the rack for 2nd Gen because the newer style that BAMF is putting out is now different than when I originally purchased.

This is a custom rack. While it will support a RTT, it is NOT the low profile that sits below the roof line. This one sits nearly level with the roof. (I had it made this way so that I could transport my 16' fishing kayak.) If a RTT is put up here, it will sit above the roof line.

    Asking $300/negotiable

Located in SW UT (St. George/Zion area)
Willing to meet within a couple hours drive for gas money.

    Low-profile-RTT-bed-rack-95-to-04-Tacoma_p_65.html

Current lead time is 4-6 weeks. Get yours now!!

Between Hurricane/Sand Hollow and SLC, you have Toquerville falls you could drive up, Kanarraville falls you could hike up (gets BANANAS between spring break and labor day though...), some stuff around Cedar City, but then it gets pretty bleak from there north for a ways.

There's an old train tunnel is out by Eureka. Not a hardship to get to, but a bit of driving from SLC (~an hour)

The Pony Express Route from Saratoga Springs, Out to Callao Then down and around to Delta and back up is a cool loop. Might see some wild horses, etc out there. It's hella dark out there at night (one of the US "Dark Zones"), so if you are an SLR photo guy, that would be a sweet spot for night sky photography
    [IMG]

I know a few other cool things to do that I'm not gonna share here, but would be cool to poke around if you aren't from around here. Hit me up and if there are some free days over a weekend while you're here, I could help play tour guide.

Sand Hollow is nice, but theres a lot of land to explore around that area. The BLM office in St Geo has all the maps of the public lands. Current editions cost $, but last years editions are usually free. Im between St. Geo and Zion NP, lots to see and do down here!

Little Moab always reminded me of a Jungle Gym on a playground, but for 4x4 stuff. Just a random plot of slickrock in a devoid area around the old railroad bed.

I haven't been out there in a long time, went out there when I had an FJ a while ago. Need to make the trip again soon.

No worries. I can't take any other week day vacation next year except Christmas, because I got a bit of a trip planned in June.

    Capture.jpg

Little Moab is TINY btw. See a pic for scale. Just a big slickrock mound that crawlers like to poke around. Just north of it is 5 mile pass though, which has all sorts of trails though.
