any good ideas out there on side lights for when camping? I’d the ability to switch on/off side lights on either side (that the easy part) can’t fihure out which lights and where to place... picture for illustration purpose.

Yeah, fantastic lights but I’m more concerned about placement?

I hate camping around people that have lights aimed parallel to the ground. Please, please mount them high and point them down with adequate shrouds.

I see the plug. Do you use a removable cord to power this from inside the cap?

I've been shopping for the same and have been considering having some 45 to 60 degree pods 3d printed to hold KC Cyclones. Ideally, they need to rotate fore and aft from the rack depending on where you want them.

I'm thinking along the lines of this, but with a cyclone mounted to the puck at an angle, so it's always down facing

I would destroy that wire over the top of the rack in no time

No. I ran it to a switch panel up front connected to the battery. Cable is run along the side rail and down in between the cab and the cap. No issues.

It's run along the inside of the side rail and down in between the cab and the cap. That was a mock up photo. Trust me, it wouldn't last long either:

I will be getting two Walmart fog lights, some coil style wires, some magnetic bases and metal plates. Put the plates in the side cubbies so I can have truck bed lights. When I want side camping lights I can pull them out, and attach on the body where ever I need. To include back up applications.

I've got everything I need "watched" on eBay for when I want to pull the trigger. I just need to get past some financial hurdles so my wife don't bitch, and it cools off enough ugh.
