Hey All! New to Tacoma World here... well at least new to actually posting. I was wondering is anyone has as first generation Tacoma with an over rail bedliner and a cap on top. Does it raise your cap much or cause any issues? Also are their any over rail liners that i wont have to cut into in order to attatch my cap for example Pendaliner® 78105SRX? (I really dont want an under rail liner or spray on). Thanks all.

suppose to use clamps made for caps and use a weather resistant seal that sits between the cap an truck.

I think that my cap already has a seal on the bottom of it so that's good. I'm more wondering if there is a bedliner that i wont have to cut holes in, in order to attach it to the rails. The clasps usually attach under the rail... however the bedliners I have seen are flush with the lip the whole way and don't allow for attachment without cutting.

i hope its not worn out.

you dont have to drill, just buy aluminum clamps.

The clamps wont grab because they can't get under the rail because the bedliner is hindering it

    Ohhhh yea nope!

I have done that in the past, but i just got a new truck and was hoping to see if there was one that I don't need to. (obviously not as big deal for me to cut into one, more just curious of there is one out there). By looking at the ad pic for the pendeliner one it looked like I may not have to. Does anyone have that specific bedliner on their truck?

Over the rail (OTR) bedliners for the Tacoma will be this way (even factory one) due to the shape of the upper rail. There is no easy way to make one that will form to the bed and also be able to sit flush under the rail.

Just cut a few squares out about an inch wider than needed (just in case) and then use the clamps.

Or just get an UTR and use cap tape like I have done for the past 8 years :)
