    You and me both!

...but I also want it to be awesome and not rushed, with the new tables Mat has I'm hoping for perfection! (and maybe some torque down low?)

Knowing this and having proper conversions is going to be key to making more power reliably on this platform. Now that we understand exactly how the maps interface, we can remove the limits on airflow models, change how the throttle works to control it so that more power is possible.
The ECU is very good at staying within it's modeled range.
So lets say you add a bunch of ignition because you want power. ECU calculates that the power is more than the model, strips that ignition right out.
Our you request more torque, well that torque is further than the models predict, ECU limits total throttle.
etc etc etc. The ECU can remove just about any of the "basic" tune features (ignition, fueling).

But expanding the models = expanding all limitations that were previously in place.

@OVTune Nice! So with the prior tunes even though it helped, the ecu was still able to “throttle” it back to keep it within its programmable limits. That would explain the total inconsistencies in this truck.

Previous tunes never went past these modeled limits. 1.05 will

Apply a little effort and read this thread, like everyone else. It was over a thousand pages when I read it.

Short answer: hold tight for a few more weeks (my estimate). Recently OVTune has learned more about how the ECU logic is constructed and is reworking the tune to take advantage of new potential.

All you’ll need to do once 1.05 is published, is find the instructions as they are updated on the first page, or from his website.

And of course, you can follow this thread for continuing conversation, hopes and aspirations, and general grumbling.

I believe he is also dealing with this hurricane. If so family wellbeing is priority. Give him some time.
