Toyota removing pandora integrated app

just got this email. Not sure if this will effect us.

 

Will that explains why the app doesn't work anymore. They stopped fixing the bugs.

 

I want to be able to remove all of those integrated apps since I never use them, they can still be available but I just don't want them on my head unit

Yup! I just want to bounce between BT and A/V (front camera) using the Mode button the steering wheel. I don't need anything else.

 

Well... that sucks.... theres already too limited of a selection of apps

 

Mine works...but you have to restart your phone, Restart your radio, Restart your Bluetooth, Restart the Entune app and wait for the Truck to decide if it wants you to listen to Pandora.

 

I thought only 18 Camry has Entune 3.0?

 

Meh - never used it. I really don't have much service where I live anyway - XM goes out a few time on my commute.

Right. But if it’s a licensing agreement between the two. It may trickle down to us. That or 2.0 will no longer receive any updates.

 

Implying it actually received updates in the first place. I mean the app was never even updated to allow for premium features, only basic Pandora radio stations. I still get the "skipped too many" message in the Entune app so I don't even use it anymore.

Frankly, I have no clue why I'm using Pandora at this point because the only reason I have it is the integration.

 

Toyota needs to kill entune, and just mirror our smartphones operating system.

All the Entune Apps are useless, the Map navigation is useless... KILL ENTUNE NOW.

Toyota, please stop pretending to be a software developer. Leave that to the big boys.

 

Yea I quit using Entune & either bluetooth music from my phone or my nano usb drive. Pandora was problematic & annoying with Entune. Nav is totally worthless. My wife's Rav4 nav wasn't showing streets that have been there for almost 10 years! Just an open field near some traintracks. At her 5000 mi check up the dealership said that it was shipped with the latest update. But of course they didn't actually hook up to it & verify!

 

Pandora very very rarely ever worked for me for the year and 9 months ive had my truck. So i started using slacker radio and actually prefer it overall now even listening to it on my computer at work. Thank you capitalism for giving us options.
