The megathread is what I linked in that post :p “Hondo Garages New Thing”
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hondo-garages-new-thing.516490/

If you read the most recent pages of that thread I believe they answered re: Cab/roof rack clearance recently! There’s also an awesome FAQ put together by @DoorDing that answers a ton of...frequently asked Qs.. hah.

Ha! Just ordered the same Deaver stage 1 u402’s to get ready for the GFC. Wish I’d found this 100+ hrs of ‘research’ ago, but very stoked to have muddled my way to the same conclusion you guys did.

    Annoying questions:

    1) Did you end up needing a cb drop kit, extended brake lines, axle shims, etc. or just bolt right in?

    2) You think stage 1 u402’s will be livable for a few months before GFC delivery/install?

    Thanks!

No shims or drops required. They bolt right in.

Definitely liveable. In fact they ride better than stock even empty.

Anybody know who makes the ladder leaning against the handrail, next to the gas can?

how does it feel with all that lift , is it unbearable being no weight up front , looks like you have plenty of room for 285s?

I only have about 2” of lift. That photo shows the a arm fully drooped. Lift doesn’t really have anything to do with what size tire you can run. There’s just enough room in the fender well to fit a 255/75 r17 without rubbing. Anything bigger would require glass or a bit of trimming. I set up the coil overs so that at ride height 1/3 of the travel is droop. The truck handles really well.

Sorry. Not offended. Just short due to my dislike of typing on phone keyboards. Will probably be going 285 and some copious trimming in the near future though :)

Don't actually know. We were borrowing our neighbor Bomber products shop when that was shot. It might be an Alu-Cab ladder.

The biggest motivator is just being able to drive faster. I was actually really impressed with how the BP-51 and Deaver U402 combination worked. But I still hit the bump stops from time to time on our Baja trips. These upgrades are pretty intensive but not extreme as far as pre-runners go. No fiberglass and the shocks won't go through the bed. It will still be a good daily driver, only now with a lot more poise in the desert.
