Cheers to BookieBob for organizing the get together today!

It was great meeting and hanging out with everyone who showed up.

Anyone interested in a weekend camp trip similar to last fall?

I've got the some of the MVUM maps on my avenza maps app. I've been thinking about checking out some of the old logging roads up north or the pipeline

The staircase to heaven in the brewery made it all worth it. Lol . Well that and the New Glarus free beer coin.

Yep. Hope all went well. I’m sure it won’t be the last Brew tour! Hope the weather lets up in the next few weeks.

Here’s a quick video . Picture borrowed from @Thatbassguy . Wish I would if got video of that wicked ass curve. I was more focused on drinking my beer than taking pics at the brewery.

Beat the crap out of the Tacoma running it through the gears in traffic all week. Road trip to Madison & New Glarus. Harley 115th anniversary traffic and yesterday’s Cubs vs Brewers game at Miller Park. Plus the ride to and from illinois for work.
431.4 miles on a tank. Beating the crap out of it doing 90mph on the tollway. Filled the tank... 738C89DB-8823-4637-84BD-0D20078EBABA.jpg
    Got fantastic mileage!!!!

    21.748mpg.Not too shabby.
My best a few weeks ago 24.3 mpg.
I need new tires around November/December. Debating on more aggressive tires or staying with hwy tread.

I took a ride up to the pipeline today:)

I started at buck's ranch road and went north until I hit barricades. Then I went south until the second water crossing. I figured I pushed my luck enough already and turned around:D

Does anyone else ever visit the area?

I also scouted out some campgrounds near there and the road to the lake I went to was pretty rough. Was a fun ride! There were a couple of primitive campsites and the bass were hungry!

I don't know how many people are interested in a camp outing this fall, but this place would be pretty cool for a small group. It's pretty basic, though. No outhouse.

We (the wife, kid, dog) are headed up to Iron mountain, Michigan. I’ll check for any thing that looks like a fire road. I’ll also see what campgrounds/county park camping that are available . I know there’s the campground 1mile from our house but No trails nearby.

    Cliffside

Oh well. Going to hit the river near Crivitz, wi for walleye. I know they have a ton of campsites from Green bay all the way north to Iron mountain,Michigan.

Not sure what my schedule looks like. I know we have a couple family obligations in the next few weeks and a neighbors party. Keep me informed if you set a camp trip up!

There's a bunch of smaller lakes in that area with campgrounds and some with primitive campsites. Some of the forest roads are really rough. I'm going to be exploring that part of the state quite a bit this fall and next year.

It's not MOAB or anything, but it beat the hell out of sitting around wishing we had more trails in WI. I had a total blast yesterday and can't wait to get back up there

If anyone has any interest in a road trip up that way, let me know. Whether it's a day trip or a weekend.

Here's a few more pics from yesterday. The last one is the water hole that made me turn back. There's probably another mile or so that I didn't get to see before the trail ends. Maybe the water will be down a bit by the time I get back there

Here's a link to MVUM maps so you know where you can and can't go. Check out the avenza maps app as you can download the MVUM maps and view them on your phone while tracking your location. They're offline maps so no need to worry about reception
