Hello All! been lurking on the forum here gathering various info when looking at Tacomas, very thankful for all the knowledge out here. So thank you for all of the info, and I am happy to be in the forums!

    Now onward from the pleasantries...

I was torn between the Off-road and the Pro, but wound up going with the off-road so that I could get the longer bed, downsizing from a ram 2500 with an 8 foot bed, and the 5 foot bed felt like a planter box in comparison!

So far I put on an aftermarket TRD Pro Grill, and just popped in the little radar cover today, I would have just gotten this done at the dealership when buying, but they wanted $750 for the part and labor, I knew the actual OEM grill was only just under 400, and it took me 15 minutes to pop it out, that's pricey labor! I also got one of those fake toyota grills that ships with the logo missing and you install it yourself, there is a small issue I have with it, but otherwise it's great!

Just upgraded to the TRD wheels and the K-02s, next up will be suspension when more funds become available and my insatiable research needs have been met, but definitely want to do some coil overs and an the OME Dakar leaf pack, I don't think i need to go much above the 2.0 range, the ones just before the external reservoir options, can always upgrade to that if I am completely dissatisfied, but I am just really looking for a great ride around the potholes of Seattle and then being able to drive for quite a while on gravel, washboard fire roads as well as some overlanding.

Oh! also, I am waiting on a softtopper to arrive, will post some pics when that gets here, I use the bed for camping as well as for hauling wood and other stuff from our remodel project. I had a lumber rack on the ram that I eventually took off beacuse it was so inhibiting to getting in the bed and shoveling or loading in garbage cans, I like that the soft topper is so versatile and easily stowed.

Here is where my cement beauty is at right now, I am really excited about this car, was up on some gravel forest roads today, planning an early fall trip to do part of the Washington route, the WABDR.

Welcome! maybe its just me but so far I love the look of the 2018 stock grills. They look so much better than our 2017 stock grill. Congrats on the truck BTW.

I agree! i like that they got rid of the main silvery grill, but I wasn't a fan of the shiny emblem or the chrome bezel, so am quite happy with the change!
