    Hello everyone,

My name is Josh, brand new here to TacomaWorld. I currently own 2 diesel trucks, and hoping to sell them both soon and pick up a 3rd Gen Tacoma and start feeding this fire. That is the main reason I thought I'd jump into the forums, to learn as much as I can about these trucks, and maybe find a good deal on the TW marketplace.

Some background on me, I am currently Active Duty Air Force, just passed my 9 year point, but looking to separate in the next 2 years (new Tacoma as a separation gift?). I am married with two daughters, and they have traveled with me all across this country during this military adventure. We are looking forward to settling down in Colorado and staying put for once. I have been in the offroading scene for most of my adult life, mainly full size trucks (square body Chevys), Jeeps, and dirtbikes/ATVs.

I actually started looking at Tacomas when my sister-in-law asked me to recommend a relible truck for her to buy. I have heard nothing but good things on the Toyota reliability, so I inevitably ended up researching Tundras and Tacomas. Based on her needs (smaller, mainly city driving, fuell efficiency, etc) I narrowed down to the Tacomas. She bought a 2wd TRD Offroad with a manual transmission, and she hasn't looked back since. However, that left me in a very researched and curious position. So I continued researching, and found more and more that fit my needs in a truck. I'm specifically looking more into the overland type builds. Daily driver, yet offroad capable and high quality and tasteful upgrades. I debated over the TRO Pro for awhile, but I could get a TRD Offroad and just do a few small upgrades and end up with a better truck at the same price as the TRD Pro, so that's my current plan.

First thing is first, I have 2 diesels I need to sell (1st Gen Dodge Cummins and 3rd Gen Dodge Cummins), and 2 gooseneck trailers that'll have to be sold as well (Tacoma isn't going to do much with those). And most importantly, convince the wife to let me do all these things!

That's probably enough about me for now. I look forward to cussing and discussing with you all. Thanks in advance for all you have to offer!

    -Josh
