Looks like you had an awesome time Chris! Love the side flaps you got and the shower looks nice.

Another great project ahead of me! Special thanks to @TacoFMS for showing me the post he could ha gotten them himself that was generous, thank you. And a special thanks to @EatSleepTacos for picking them up and dealing with the seller in Baltimore, thanks.

Now I have 9 matching. I have a bit of work cleaning these up but 3 of the tires are good enough to use on the camper. The end goal would be to have all the wheels and tires matching so I have 2 spares on the road or trail. Baby steps I guess @Wild Crow linked me the conversions to adapt from 5 lug to 6. It’s going to take some messing with I want more clearance but I don’t want the camper so high it’s a pain in the ass to get into either.

Could you just change the hubs on the trailer to 6 lug hubs. E-trailer has pretty much every imaginable hub assembly

Most likely yes. I haven’t started looking into all of it yet. The plus or minus to the adapters (depending on fitment) is they are also spacers. A wider stance equals more stability on trails. It also equals more stress on bearings. With the audth of these wheels and tires the soacing may be an added plus to this route however. I love these little asventures

:hattip: those new rims/ tires will be way better than trailer tires. Good score. That will be nicer towing once you get them on. Something I had thought/ wondered of doing while I had my RPOD.

    Matthews Arm again?:

We were supposed to have been in Delaware this weekend, however with the uncertainty of the hurricane we all decided to postpone until next Spring. We were looking forward to camping and the beauty of this is it's ready to go so all we had to do was throw some clothes and food in and away we went. We decided on Wednesday to say screw it and head some place new with the intentions of going to Big Meadow on Skyline drive. As we entered the park there was a large sign that stated Big Meadow was full so back to Matthews Arm we went.
Good weekend, cold, I didn't pack enough warm clothes but it all worked out until Saturday night when the dog got sick. Up and down all night so at daybreak I started breaking down camp and we got home early. It started raining as soon as we started to leave so it was probably a blessing in disguise. We were off grid and self sufficient here even though a campground the only amennity was a bathroom and all worked well. The only issue we have while camping off grid is an excessive build up of condensation overnight. We stay nice and warm even with no heater but the condensation is pretty bad. I began talking with the dealer about a possible remedy already.
It was cold, the firewood they sell sucks, but was still way better than staying home.

Nice little escape only about 45 minutes from home. I'll have to look into a season pass for the park for next year though.

Happy camping! Next weekend is AOAA in Pa

Any day camping is a great day compared to any day of Work! Sorry to hear about the pup, hope everything is ok. Yeah we made a jump to a class C a few years earlier than planned. With family spread across the country (both coasts and midwest) we intend to use it. No more chunky hotels and outrageous boarding costs for the pups.

IDK enough about the different types of campers to know what a class "C" is. Apparently the dog got into something in my daughter's room and ate it as she had an accident when we got home and pooped out a good sized piece of plastic. I'm just going to keep an eye on her if she continues or has a hard time keeping food down she will be headed for the vet. Sadly after her feeling so bad this weekend I'll have to work to convince my wife it's good to keep takeing her camping. We met some cool people and saw some neat camping setups again this trip.

Yeah thats my favorite part seeing different but cool people (camping folk usually are) and learning/ seeing new or cool setups. Glad the dog seems ok.

Pros: everything at your fingertips, nice ride, if you have to go no problem, cons: Shitty mileage, wind load is a bitch, if you want to go somewhere you have to break camp.

Yours? Looks nice. Good pros and cons explained too. Some can tow too though. Gas mileage is crap if your towing anything regardless lol

I have seen this size many times at the camp grounds and alot were rentals. We have talked about taking 6 months and driving around the country when we retire. This is the size camper we have discussed renting. While I love our little camper IDK if I want to live out of it for 6 months. Takeing it out west to do Moab and some other places would be cool and use ours as a base camp this is the eventual goal. Perhaps the 6 month drive with it would work but I'd think a camper like this would be more comfortable just cruising and sight seeing. Yes, the main draw back I have seen for folks with these campers is if they need to go anywhere they have to pack up and go then come back and set up again. Just the price you pay I guess pro's and con's with everything

Thanks, it was used (Barely) a 2016 with 6 thousand miles on it lol. We eventually plan to have a small house down the road and travel more than we dont. It can tow 8k, sleep up to 7 people. Much better for the 5 of us lol.
