That's the same floor plan as our Jayco X213. Had it for 4 seasons and it's been great for our family. Most of our camping is in the Sierra Nevada Mtns (we live at 4,500ft and tow it over the 7,000ft pass several times a year). The truck does fine and can maintain +55mph if you're not afraid to make it work.

Anyone with a Apex Nano 213RDS? That is our preferred TT at the moment.

Also looking at some Cherokee Wolf Pup 18TO’s. I thought I’ve seen a few people with those on here. How are they holding up?

Don't have one yet, but looking at a very similar model - the Apex Nano 208BHS (since we want the bunks for kids). Really like that size and weight and think it seems like the sweet spot for our Tacomas. If you get it, would be interested how much you pay/what kind of deal you get, since they are the same company and type and similar in pricing, and also how it tows.

I'm also looking at getting the apex @Ck1010. It's at the very top of my limit for weight and length but its everything were looking for in a camper. Have you pulled the trigger on it yet? Interested in how it does behind the truck

Went and checked one out. Liked it a lot. Great fit & finish. Gonna wait until February/March to pull the trigger as I won’t use it until April at the earliest.

Only reason Id get one now is if you found a 2018 model. Should be able to get a deal on one. Last years model and off season

Not bad power wise, the truck has no trouble accelerating or braking. Lighter and slightly more aerodynamic, the fiberglass box still gets pushed around by the wind. I pull 65 mph max and really don't like
going over 62 honestly. You can really feel it when passing a semi on a two lane hwy even at those speeds. Off road has been great too for us too, where we camp is mostly fire roads and sugar sand. 4x4
will get us and the trailer out of anything we might encounter...

@17TRD thanks for the info. I'm debating between another 2nd gen and jumping into a 3rd gen.

We bought our Apex in December and took delivery in January (in Michigan). Got a great deal - I don’t think they were selling much the day we went when it was -2 outside.
