Truck : 2018 DCLB TRD Off Road

So my 5k service is coming up. I use this truck as my daily driver.... I commute 60 miles one way which does include a mountain.

I love the adaptive cruise control. All my vehicles will have it from here on out.

My question is this..... When I set my cruise to 78MPH, average speed I travel to work, the truck seems to not be able to handle it. It's consistently looking for gears in very slight grades. Would this TSB update I keep hearing about fix that? or is it just lack of torque and power at that speed causing this problem? It just seems to like 4th gear way more then it should? I feel like it quickly shifts down looking for a gear when it has plenty in 5th or 6th?

    Thanks

The new ECM calibration would mitigate your issues and enhance the drivability a good bit.

Yep my 18 is annoying at highway speeds to in cruise control. Slightest inclines the thing drops to 4th gear like no tomorrow

Strange, mine isn't bad following the update. Is that at speeds over 70mph?

My 2018 pro was doing the same thing..... I had the TSB done and its seems better for that issue.... but still has a slight hesitation sometimes and crusing around 45mph its bucking ever so lightly. They have had problems with there torque converters so I hope that's not it but glad it's under warranty for a while.

Sorry I didn't quite finish my statement correctly, they were having problems with there torque converters in other models such as the Camry and the rav-4 and for similar complaints. As far as a shudder it was a converter lock-up issue.

I posted this in the "finally a fix for stumble condition" thread as I am post TSB 58 and 62 updates, but maybe better suited here? Before the update, was the gear hunting, and from a dead stop on a hill I got a big dead spot on throttle before it caught. So now>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The truck is driving so much better, but I figured I'd have to try what drove me to the dealer in the first place. Starting from a dead stop on a steep hill. I'm getting some horrific noise like a fast creaking / drive shaft type thing. This is only when giving throttle on a steep hill from a dead stop. I'll be calling dealer tomorrow and update if / when I find out something.
