Thank you! Not sure how I missed this post until now. I'd be interested in everything you posted in that photo. The tinted rear glass would be cool too if you think it could be packed safely for shipping? Would you be willing to check shipping cost on the small items at least, and the glass if you think it could be shipped safely? Feel free to PM with with costs. let me know how much you want for the parts and how much the shipping will be. Thank you very much!

You talking about the solid window or sliding.......both are tinted - the solid one is lighter tint at top and gets darker towards bottom of it.

Probably the sliding window. The truck doesn't have AC so the sliding window is probably a better choice. Thanks!

A few updates to mention. We picked up a *new* set of doors over the weekend to replace the current ones. We got some from an '83 SR5 that have the wing windows. They are rust free and mostly straight but have a couple dents that shouldn't be too hard to fix. Then we'll paint them to match. The plan is to use these new doors and make the old ones into half doors.

We also did a few more interior upgrades. I got a full set of seats and other interior pieces from a 2nd gen 4Runner. The seats that have been in the truck are some random ones that weren't great. The Runner seats were in great shape and actually have some bolsters and are much more comfortable so we swapped them in. Covered them with some Cabellas seat covers since they were blue. We also used the center/shifter console from the 4Runner. Dyed it black to match the truck and recovered the armrest. Needed to trim the shifter section to fit the shifters but we'll cover that area with a new custom boot or cover. Also expoxied in a cupholder in the useless little cubby spot. Really please with the fit overall and it makes the interior much more comfortable and feels a bit newer than the 1980 interior.

On another note, we're picking up a '97 Tacoma that was recently totalled in an accident. Drivetrain wasn't damaged in the accident so we're pulling it to swap into the '80. 3RZ and 5-speed is on the docket! Goodbye carburetor!

Since everyone likes pics I took some the other day at a park. Here's a few.

Been awhile since I been on TW since my 85 4runner has taking my life away from tacoma. But looks good like always!

My brother just got a Slee Off road bumper for his 80!

I believe the inclinometer is from a Tercel?

I had mismatching mirrors so I scored some FJ60 mirrors that are a direct fit. Maybe a possibility for your son also? Pictures make them look big, but in person they look great.

Techinically those are FJ62 mirrors ;) but thanks for the suggestion, they actually look decent on there. Might have to consider something like that.

Changes coming! Picked up this donor truck today. It was rear ended on the freeway that flipped the truck but it ended up back on it's wheels so it wasn't upside down long at all. Drivetrain seems undamaged and the plan is to swap the motor/trans and hopefully get a marlin dual case setup to go behind it. 3RZ incoming!

    Holy Hell its beautiful!

I just picked up an 86 2wd 22r 5spd... lowered.. and am trying to slowly restore/do a resto-mod build on. where did you get that center console! I have an Autozone special in mine right now. looking for something a little more permanent. my other option was to just build one from mdf and carpet it.
