My OEM bed cover does not like me. It seems to break every other month. It's just a small piece between panels that is breaking every time, but WTF man. I'm not rough on the thing, in fact it spends just as much time off the truck as it spends on the truck. I don't slam the panels shut.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Do you think the dealership might just exchange the whole thing for one that won't friggen break?

Had mine for a year. Never broke. No issues. Definitely let the dealer know.

They are fixing it again tomorrow (if they have the part). I'd rather not have to go through that sort of hassle again, and will probably try to sell it after it is fixed.

Never had a problem with mine either and I fold/unfold it all the time. I never remove mine though. I don't think they were designed to be regularly removed and reinstalled.

I have this issue and replaced the part 2x. The clue you gave is that it spends more time off the truck than on. If you store this thing in the garage all folded up and upright you can very easily put the entire weight of this thing on that small weak plastic part. The second time mine broke I actually heard it crack and saw what I did.

22 months and 27k miles on mine, no issues. It has been off probably a half dozen times.

All it takes is one time putting all the weight in the right corner and... snap.

No problems here. Sorry to hear that! Maybe the dealer can make it right?
