Buried my boots at sea as GEORGE COBB set a buoy in San Francisco Bay. I have departed GEORGE COBB and soon will be on my way to Yorktown, Virginia. Now just waiting on the SWE cuts.

My sister is above the cut for MST1 so that's cool. Not bad for 9 years of service I don't think, first enlisted marine inspector at her unit in like 15-20 years. Fingers crossed she picks up warrant one day.

Any regrets on going AET? looks like the rate I’m going with AMT being closed.

Well, revised cuts are out. Declined advancement to Master Chief. I know, I know. But it just didn't fit into my plan right now. Just moved to Virginia and bought a house and the old lady just started the nursing program. Besides, I only have 21 years of service right now, I still have a little bit of time to try and make Master Chief (again). Besides, the only jobs available was Oakland or the Polar Star. Didn't want either one of those jobs. Really sucks to have to turn down a second star.

Good on you for sticking to a plan. Family first.

A buddy of mine is making Master Chief. He is the OIC at Eaton's Neck. I remember when he was a SA. God I feel old. Another buddy is making Senior Chief (FS or SS or CS or whatever the fuck it's called now) down in Alabama.

Congrats to everyone who made the cut.

Revised cuts have me right where I want to be: 3 below the cut. That means I’ll probably be above on the next revision and it’s also unlikely they’ll transfer me out of here early. At least I hope that’s what happens.

Nah. Also grad school is on hold with this GI bill BAH bullshit.

So it's basically pure stay-at-home-dad mode right now. Not sure I like it.

I was trying to be nice. LOL.

Finding shit to do to keep from going batshit is fun. There was an extent of time I was buying classic RC10s and restoring/modernizing them, then turning them around on eBay. That was fun.

The BAH thing pisses me off, but boy am I glad I used my Post 9/11 when I did. Netted me a BS and an MBA with a surplus in savings, allowing me to buy my truck.....

    SPO office?

God damn...still those shitty ass cloth cubicles at Sector PS? I was there when that building went up and if you turn over a floor tile or two you may find some of our names there. We helped wire up the JHOC and VTS.
