It's not a man-bun if you do it for a work function. If you walk around in public, on the other hand...

@Crodell6 has a valid point. A title with "HELP!!" or similar is reserved for a member who is stuck, or broke down, or otherwise needs immediate assistance. I suggest rewriting your title. Please.

    Ok... stop... breath. Calm down.

There are people that are actually trying to help you out here. One guy even gave you links to the kit you are actually looking for from 3 different (very reputable) vendors. You may not be seeing the OME 1st gen kit listed on a page, but I can assure you that is an error. I just installed a full OME kit (from Wheelers) on a friend's 1st gen 2 weeks ago.

As for the suggestion of re-writing the "HELP" part of your title... that is kind of an unwritten (but widely known to long term members) that "HELP" is reserved for things that need immediate action. You are new, obviously you didn't know, now you do... lets relax and move on.

Again, there are multiple people here trying to help... yes, there's probably a bit of sarcasm... but that is just part of the charm of TacomaWorld. Don't alienate valuable resources.

    Just my $.02

FWIW...many people do come to Tacomaworld as a first stop for help when they're stuck someplace, this would be one of my first stops if I couldn't reach anyone I know on TW by their personal phone #. There's a tight knit community here and a lot of us wheel together, 'Help' titled threads are generally reserved for people in need of quick help. Not trying to be a smart ass, just letting you know. Hang around long enough and come to some local TW meets and you'll get to know the community too. We all started someplace less experienced than where we're at now (well...most of us)

BTW I recommend Kings front/rear...for 1st gens they are actually the more affordable option amongst 2.5 performance shocks. The front non-reserviour setup is anyway (about $1k). Icon/Fox tend to run a little higher for front 2.5s.

Otherwise I'd recommend a solid 2.0 front/rear setup from Fox

Or, there's also Toytec's lineup of performance coilovers...not quite in the same realm as King/Icon/Fox etc. but better than a stock replacement brand

FWIW... The dude I installed the full OME kit on his 1st gen, I mentioned earlier. I met him here on TW

He posted a thread, a lot like this one, asking as a new member for advise on buying his truck, a couple months ago. I gave him some pointers about the truck, I took a day off work to help him lift his truck... and I now consider him a personal friend.

So, it's definatley worth noting this is a tight knit community, there are people here willing to do more than type some opinions on a keyboard... it's worth getting to know the community (and relax about some of the sarcasm)

well, at least you used punctuation this time. Much less headache inducing..

Just get OME. Sounds like a good "all around" option for most folks. If you want adjustability, I'd suggest All Pro billy coilovers, but All-Pro has been kinda sketch lately according to other buzz on the forums. So maybe look into Toytec... though I personally don't like them because they, early on, had the tendency to make coilovers for the 1st gen that just straight up didn't work, and then blamed the end user for it.

Either way, overlanding is an expensive hobby, you need to take a serious look at if you're going to get your money's worth. It's only popular on instagram because people need to show off their materialism/narcissism. It's not really what true off-roading looks like for most people. Most of the guys I know who are hardcore off-roaders have ugly ass rigs, that WORK. Not stuff that "looks cool". It's like the instagram-bro with the tacti-cool 20lb AR-15... but can't shoot it for shit. Looking cool only gets you so far before you look like a fool who can't wheel, or shoot worth a damn. You might have tons of insta followers but everyone IRL knows you're a tool. In which group do you place more value? I, for one, don't place much value on soul-less internet admirers.

Can get still All Pro products but I would get them through Trail Gear directly since they took over All Pro's distribution...seems like most of the headaches were coming from people contacting All Pro directly when they were transitioning. Their website is still up too which is kind of strange since I think it all ships out via Trail Gear now.

Yeah I realize all that now thanks but that kid just started dropping f bombs right out the gate. So it got annoying. But now I know and yeah I heard the foxs are great but also dont the rear for 2.0 only work with stock height?

You’re gonna have a tough time here with that post being one of your first 20.

People probably got upset cause you asked a question that’s probably been dealt with 100x and failed to search the forum first.

When sarcastically saying that TW wouldn’t be the first place someone would post when stuck is untrue. Dozens of guys have been solo wheeling and stuck, posted here and recovered. We are a tight group, always willing to lend a hand, be it recovery, mod days, or tech info.

Coming in here blazing accusations of man buns and getting upset isn’t going to last long

‘Overland suspension’ (whatever that is) has been covered in this thread and all over this forum.

Best of luck in your decisions
