A few additions to make me feel cool.
We purchased this awesome 4Runner new in 2007. Fully loaded and ordered it exactly how we wanted it. Has the 4.7 and has been the best vehicle either my wife or I have owned. With two children, endless trips to soccer tournaments and karate we have just outgrown it. We finally decided to move up to something larger and after looking at the Sequoia found it to be overpriced and outdated. We decided to get a new Tahoe and to be safe I purchased the 100k mile 84 month extended warranty.

My wife has a cousin who has a son in school and needs a good car so we agreed to sell the 4Runner to him. It will be about a month before he can get the funds together so I decided to drive it to and from work until then. I noticed this morning the wiper blades where worn so I replaced those, for me it is sad to see this car go. We had it before either of our children, it has been our chariot for vacations and pretty much anywhere we have been. Never failed us, in almost 11 years and 106K miles all I did to it other than maintenance was replace the alternator and the CV axles because one of the boots was torn. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country tonight. I can only hope we get half the performance out of the Tahoe.

I work at a Chevy dealer and can tell you that those Tahoes are pretty reliable. That model has only been out since 2015 so I can’t tell if long term reliability will match your 4Runner, but I think you made a good choice. Enjoy the new ride!

Don't do it!!! Keep it as a third vehicle until your kids are old enough to drive it. You will need a third vehicle anyway, for when your Chevy breaks down.

Been looking for mint V8 4Runners with sub 120k miles for a year now. So very rare, and when they come up they are snapped up instantly around here. At least it's staying in the family!

Do a Tahoe review once you have some early impressions on it.
