I was a huge Apple fan but haven’t purchased a single thing from them since Steve Jobs died. I think they’re best days are behind them. Sadly.

Possibly, but even decent days will make for a good stock (I don’t expect the huge returns from the past). We’ll see, I think they need to branch out to grow, but their services and iPhones can keep them at least doing “ok” in my opinion. Hope they have some new breakthrough.

Definitely add if there’s a dip. When you’re starting a new, large, long term position which you’re confident about it’s always a good idea to slowly scale more in on dips. It will pay off a couple months down the road.

The majority of my holdings are in SPY so I may reallocate some of that if AAPL takes a big dip. I’ll dollar cost average add regardless of price as well. I have faith in that company!

I hope you guys don't have any foreign investments, they've been getting pounded lately. Alibaba's books have been a complete shitshow and now Jack Ma is stepping down, it's a mess over there. They've lost 30% since their peak earlier this year

Anyone looking at the NIO chinese electric car company IPO? I bought some shares. It will probably be a wild ride for about a year.

Well I'm up 20% so far and accidentally bought at this mornings peak. Scared of profit-takers tomorrow

Anybody looking at FB here? I bought some at 174, and some more at 164. I have some cash ready for the mid 150's if they come. I think the valuation is absurdly low here. Their margins are insane and they own the only serious competitor to their main platform, Instagram. On top of that, look at the valuation of anyone researching blockchain and AI. Facebook is in both and they have the money and customer base to do serious things with it. But FB is at a historical PE in the low 20's.

BTW if anyone here shorts, take a good look at TLRY. The valuation is absurd.

I agree with everything you said. If I wasn’t basically all-in on AAPL, I’d buy some FB. They both are fairly priced as far as P/E and I think they’ll both go up. The current P/E of some of the other tech companies scare me!

Edit: The fact that AAPL pays a dividend, and increases it regularly, is what sold me on them.

It surely doesn't hurt that Warren Buffet is fully on team Apple either.

I think it is part of a grand plan. I think Trump will unwind them in 2020 so the stock market screams all the way up to the elections.

NIO headed to $5. Guess I'll have to average down a little. Thankfully didn't put much towards this company considering it's speculative nature

Home prices are high as well as interest rates. I have read that once mortgage rates reach 6%, we will start seeing real pain in the housing market. We aren't there yet. Many people are in a buying frenzy to "lock in" rates, but "time to sell" (from time of listing to time of sale) are starting to increase

I've noticed it in my area. Prices have stalled and stuff is sitting on the market longer. I own a house but I am thrilled for it. I'd love a good chance to scoop up some cheap land for the next house.
