Just to double check, you have 4x4 right? Locker or no? What about armor?

Pilot rock you really just need 4wd, some of the harder lines you might want to skip but the main trail is doable with just 4x4 and some clearance.

4x4, no locker, slight lift, AT tires, no real armor.

Should be fine to do the harder section. Basically where Pilot Rock begins (after the staging area) it splits off 2 ways...go left to take the harder portion (2N17x) or stay right to take the regular Pilot Rock trail. Eventually 2N17x meets up with the regular trail about halfway through.

The harder section definitely requires 4x4, I usually lock my rear end but it's probably doable without...worst case scenario we just give you a tug once or twice if need be. Most of the harder stuff on that trail got flattened out during the fires a few years back, so it's not as bad as it used to be.

Sounds good to me. I want to challenge myself a bit, so this is a perfect opportunity to do that, and have other people around while I do.
