2.5" Fox relocation * Hammer hanger * Archive MD springs
The Allpro are so long, not sure why spring makers think that's a great idea to make them so long, but also appear to be only mildy arched. Also, I notice people with the BAMF relocation tend to use very little bump travel and they keep the axle tabs higher up than I expected to see. So I feel some people aren't matching the shock location to their springs, understandably the potential drawback to SOA being little bump travel. The Archive relocation puts the top shock eye ~3" higher focusing on bump travel, and fitting 2.5" which are longer than 2.0s per given travel

The bolts must be tight, if not, the bushing sleeves will wear the shackle tabs/bushing sleeves out, and lessens strength of hanger, so please do not do that, follow the instructions and torque shackle bolts to 80 lb-ft. This is where the benefit of poly bushings come in.

So when welded mine up I measured my bump travel so I wouldnt have issues with blowing up my shocks and I have 5 up 7 down. This is with timbren bumps and obviously SOA. So after carefully using my hi lift to its limits and loosening the bolts I was able to get 11.25 in extended out of my shock. I'm sure I can get more but I'd rather have a real lift.

Overall thanks @desertjunkie760. I feel half retarded for never thinking it could be too tight. Now to test it next weekend.

Reread my reply about the bolt, it MUST be tight, just order the poly bushings for stock shackles from me.

Gotcha, didn't see that. I swear I torqued everyting when I installed this past winter and it didn't make sense that I wasn't getting good travel numbers. But the bushing now make sense. I never thought that would make a difference. I'll be PM'ing you.

So I failed to follow this through but loosening the bolt did work?

Haven’t looked into this option. I honestly don’t even know how I tightened them on install. I do know that I was having the same issue so I probably loosened the bolt up a little. I’ll message you about some bushings.

Anyone here running the HH with stock shackle and upgraded bushings? Looking for a ride report and/or height changes (raise and drop).

Flipped through the thread and am seeing pretty much everyone has a cut exhaust. Is this a requirement for running the HH? Didn't see any mention of it on Archive's site. Shoot - it's mentioned on the product page after you "expand" to the full description. Do wish it were more obvious, but woe is me.

    I've got:
    - Icon 2.0 w/ remote resis shocks
    - OME Dakar Heavy Duty pack + AAL
    - Archive's HH
    - Archive's u-bolt flip kit
    - OEM shackle

At full droop the leaf pack comes in contact with the OEM exhaust:

I really don't want to cut my exhaust. Are there any other solutions?

Take it to a muffler shop and have them reroute or bend the pipe. They will probably tell you its easier to just cut it off.
I cut my exhause off. Less likely to get hung up on a rock or object offroading.

Cutting it off the way most folks do (on the downward bend of that u-shape) will result in more noise, specifically droning noise as the noise will exit right under the box and the box will act as an amplifier. Further, in stop and go traffic (or idling) fumes will collect under the truck and stink the place up. I guess I'll have to get a muffler shop to re-route this, and might as well re-route the exhaust under the mid skid plate at the same time, too.

It does add a little drone but I can confirm that it doesn't stink up the cab with fumes. I sit in DC traffic all of the time :bananadead:

You could chop it off at the top of the U and add one of these on to shoot it out towards the side. I was kinda wanting to add one as well

That's an option, too. Any kind of new noise is a deal breaker for me. If anything changes, it better be quieter in the end.

You could cut it off above the axle and weld the end shut :D:welder: Then no noise at all!

With a stock muffler I don’t think you’ll notice very much difference. But for me, I have a doug thorley y pipe and an aero turbine muffler, and a chopped tailpipe that wasn’t chopped at the best angle.

I had a tip to redirect the exhaust out the back instead of straight down and that helped a lot until it rusted off because most exhaust shops around here have shit materials.

I hope to eventually find a good exhaust shop that can build a new exhaust system for me and route it through a hole in my bumper similar to a school bus.

If you're going to a muffler shop to reroute anyway you could get creative and reroute above leaf spring exiting through the rear fender:crapstorm:
Should be room at full stuff with HH. As a bonus, you get a high clearance setup!

After I cut mine off after the axle, we had a circumcision party during a mod day at my house and cut off probably 5 tips with the sawzall :D

The noise with stock muffler is barely noticeable. Not much of a difference.

I have Dakar EL096R springs and I use them with the EL46XL AAL. Also have Icon RXT shocks.

Which shackles would you suggest? I'm actually looking to get a tiny bit more lift than I have right now with my heave rack/tent/bumper set up.
