You should hunt the watershed on the Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers. I have lots of good info about it. Feel free to PM me.

Had a business trip in Japan all last week and all I could think about was what was on my camera and how my food plots were looking....I was not disappointed! I have been watching these two since July and they finally shed velvet.
I too am waiting patiently for 10/1!

walked around some old skid trails behind my house this afternoon. Found some elk bedding areas, pretty fresh prob from this morning or late last night...had a shot on a doe about 40yds but it was a yearling so I passed. And got in a stare off on what I thought was a spike buck. Then he turned his head and it was a small forker. He would have been good eating as his body looked big but he was too far for a good bow shot.

toughest animal in Idaho...not whitetail deer...not bear...not raccoon....has to be porcupine! Shot one with an arrow and it just stuck...I'd thought it would be a complete pass through but no, it just stuck like a black block target!

yeah they are horrible for dogs! I see no real purpose in a porcupine other than live targets.

Pics may be deceiving but he’s still big. You can tell by his face and nose he is older. Don’t let him go too long or you may never get him!

I agree... neighbors are always an issue, but that’s the risk you take when you’re trying to grow big bucks.

You got that right for sure. Wish we could all own huge tracts of land with non-hunting neighbors. That would be the life!!!

    Thanks!
I'm having this issue with my place! I have been getting a ton of pictures of smaller bucks that I know if I let go a couple of years we would have awesome hunting, but the neighbors shoot anything with horns! To each his own I guess!

I don’t really get upset with a guy shooting a small buck if he’s a meat hunter. What pisses me off is the guy who shoots the 2 and 3 year old bucks just so they can say they killed a “buck” and then they bitch cause they don’t ever see any big bucks!!
