(Previous Owner): 2.5" spacers, block lift, unknown suspension. (Mine): New stereo and speakers
I just acquired my new (to me) 1999 Tacoma TRD extended cab. I am hauling it from south Texas to Montana very soon and it's definitely a project truck. The previous owner swapped out the suspension with a block lift (I'm unsure of what brand or size), threw on some (I believe) 2.5" spacers, and Catchfors LT285/75R16's. As I said I just acquired it three days ago and so far I've made these changes:
    - Swapped out old hub lug bolts for longer ones for the spacers. They originally we're only halfway threaded on with the old bolts (very sketch) but now they are seated down all the way.
    - Replaced the front brake rotors and pads.
    - Checked rear drums and shoes are great.
    - Ripping out interior carpet as it's been soaked and had been molding underneath.
    - Replacing stereo and door speakers
-Plan to do a lot more but it's only been mine for three days as of this post.

I'm in the process of a very frustrating task at the moment. I'm replacing a return antifreeze hose and it's in an extremely difficult location, located between the manifold and the firewall. The hose attaches to a three way nipple adapter. It appears it has been replaced before however because none of the hoses that attach to the three way adapter have hose clamps... Any advice is greatly appreciated. I have a lot to learn and am excited to begin this project. This is my first Toyota and I doubt it will be my last.

if the carpet is moldy, suggestion, after you rip out as much stuff from the interior as possible, rent a ozone generator, and nuke the interior.... DO NOT BREATHE THE OZONE. this will completely sterilize and deodorize the interior, including the ventilation/heating/airconditioning.

    typical howto...
