I have a 2012 tacoma 4x2. Would u recommend doing work to it. For example long travel suspension and new shocks either fix or king...idk if it would be worth the spending or look into a 4x4.

Yea, this is completely up to you. If you’ll never need 4wd or want it....then build away. If you think there’s the slightest chance you might want 4wd, I’d switch trucks now before doing anything.

with resale on tacomas its probably a much better idea to sell and buy a 4wd. That being said, I thought I would regret 4x2 but my closest friend here has a 4x4 tacoma and we've taken it out wheeling exactly 0 times in the past 3 years

truth hurts but 95% of people with 4x4's never truly utilize it enough to warrant the purchase (aka going out of their way to test the 4x4 just so they can say they used it). For that 5% though...they make damn good use of it on such a great truck for wheeling.

Very true. I use the heck out of my truck. I think for most it’s the peice of mind that you have the 4wd if you need it. Better to have it than not is my sight on it. And the resale value of it.
