Hi there. New to the detailing world and since I got a '18 tacoma I'm looking to take great care of the paint and protect it from the hot hawaii sun (and rain, and salt breeze).

After browsing here for awhile I ended up getting Optimum No rinse wash n wax (live in a condo, not much room to wash "properly") and Opti-seal. Currently that's all I do - wash with ONRWW and then apply Opti-seal.

I've read glowing reviews about Collinite 845 and it seems pretty cheap and I have time to wax but I wasn't sure if it was necessary or even recommended. Would the wax go on right over the opti-seal? I'm just looking for cost effective detailing that can be done in an apartment parking area and without spending a fortune.

Sorry if this has been answered a bunch - the search function didn't yield anything concrete.

Colli 845 is an awesome product. And yes it can go over the top of the optiseal without issue.

Just use a very thin coat. Not much needed.
I find if I spray a mist of distilled water on the pad it goes on easier and can achieve a thinner coat.
Also you have to heat the bottle up by setting it out in the sun which will work where you live. In the fall or colder weather for us poor souls running hot water over the bottle will get it back to a liquid form.
